Spring is my favorite season. It's the best for my favorite flowers - daffodils, hyacinths, lilacs, lily of the valley - all of the fragrant ones. I was lucky enough to experience spring twice this year as I traveled to my home town near Chicago last week and the tulips, lilacs, etc. were in full bloom. We visited the Chicago Botanic Garden on Saturday. It was a cold, overcast day with glimpses of sunshine. Here are some pictures.
